Frequently Asked Questions

Typically, it takes about 1 ½ years from the start of the process if a city meets all of the criteria to join NAGAAA for a city to attend the required 2 NAGAAA meetings until the start of their first Gay Softball World Series (GSWS) games.

Absolutely not, NAGAAA encourages each of their member cities to manage and run their local leagues as they see best to maintain a competitive and welcoming atmosphere for their local members.

The annual membership fee for NAGAAA member cities is  $350 a year.

There are seven divisions of play in NAGAAA: A, B, C, D, E, Legends C, and Legends D. The Divisions of play are used in the GSWS, but do not necessarily need to be the same at the local league level.

NAGAAA has a 28 point player skills rating system. Based on the answer to each of these 28 questions for each player, determines which division the player should start playing. The ratings apply to players attending the GSWS, but do not necessarily need to be followed at the local level.
