WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR NOMINATION?

Any 10-year member of a NAGAAA league or association, whether living or deceased, can be nominated to the NAGAAA Hall of Fame. The nominee – whether a player, manager, coach, scorekeeper, umpire or fan – should have made significant contributions to his/her league and/or NAGAAA.

Any nominee who is not selected shall be reconsidered in the following 2 years. At that time, if the nominee is not selected, the Chair of the NAGAAA Hall of Fame Committee shall notify the maker of the nominee’s application and ask him/her to submit an updated application for the nominee.

HOW CAN I NOMINATE SOMEONE?

Nominations for membership in the Hall of Fame may be made by any NAGAAA member in good standing and shall be made in the form and manner provided for by the Hall of Fame. Anyone who is personally familiar with a nominee may nominate him/her for the NAGAAA Hall of Fame by simply filling out and submitting the NAGAAA Hall of Fame Application below. We strongly recommend the application include a photograph of the nominee, as names alone may not adequately identify the nominee. A photograph provides a visual reference that may jog the memory of those individuals who cast votes. The photograph becomes the property of the NAGAAA Hall of Fame.

THE DEADLINE FOR NOMINATIONS EACH YEAR IS JANUARY 15TH.

The next nomination cycle opens on March 15th.

HOW ARE INDUCTEES SELECTED?

The Chair of the NAGAAA Hall of Fame Committee prepares a ballot with the names of all nominees and submits the ballot with a copy of each nominee’s applications to the voting members within 30 days of the closing deadline for nominations.

The living members of the NAGAAA Hall of Fame and certain at-large members have 30 days from the date the ballots are distributed to review the credentials of each nominee’s application, cast their votes and return their ballots to the Chair.

Any nominee who receives at least two-thirds of the votes cast will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at the NAGAAA Hall of Fame dinner during that year’s GSWS.

The Chair of the Committee will tabulate the results and notify the nominees, the NAGAAA Board, and the living NAGAAA Hall of Fame candidates of the outcomes.
